7.8-magnitude quake hits 119 km WNW of Ternate, Indonesia -- USGS

BEIJING, April 2 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 jolted 119 km WNW of Ternate, Indonesia at 2248 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 1.25 degrees north latitude and 126.41 degrees east longitude.
