Asia Album: Rice field development in Indonesia

JAKARTA, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- In an effort to strengthen national food security, the Indonesian government is preparing a new rice field development program that targets the development of 3 million hectares of rice fields by 2029.

This program is expected to ensure the sustainability of the national food supply and support the agricultural sector as a strong economic pillar amidst the threat of a global food crisis.
