PanARMENIAN.Net - The government has approved the ratification of the free trade agreement between Eurasian Economic Union member states and Indonesia, signed on December 21, 2025, in Saint Petersburg. The agreement aims to liberalize and simplify trade by reducing tariff and non-tariff barriers, boosting economic cooperation and expanding trade ties.
For agricultural goods, Armenia's proposals mainly include priority export products such as mineral water (current tariff 5%, reduced to 0% after entry into force), canned fruits and vegetables (20% to 0%), fruit juices (5% to 0%), and jams (5%, reduced by 50%).
For industrial goods, the selection follows the same principle and includes products such as copper (current tariff 5%, reduced to 0% immediately or within three years), pharmaceuticals (5%, reduced to 0% either immediately or gradually over 3-15 years depending on product), and jewelry (15%, reduced to 0% over 5-15 years for certain items).
The agreement is expected to significantly increase the competitiveness of EAEU goods in the Indonesian market, thereby boosting exports and enhancing trade and economic cooperation.
