JAKARTA -- The number of pig deaths suspected to be caused by the African Swine Fever (ASF) virus in Indonesia's East Nusa Tenggara has reached 256.

"There were only 253 deaths at first, but now there are three more cases in North Central Timor Regency," Nusa Tenggara Animal Husbandry Service official Melky Angsar told local media on Sunday. (Indonesia-Swine Fever)

TOKYO -- Three foreign tourists were rescued after being caught in an avalanche on Sunday at a ski resort in Otari village of Japan's Nagano prefecture, local media reported.

The accident took place at around 2:30 p.m. local time (0530 GMT) in the backcountry area outside the course of Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort, on a slope eastside of Mount Norikura at an altitude of more than 2,100 meters. (Japan-Avalanche)

ISLAMABAD -- At least 40 people were killed and four others injured after a passenger bus fell on Sunday morning in a ditch in the Lasbela district of Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province, government authorities said.

According to the reports, the coach crashed into the pillar of a bridge while it was taking a U-turn near the Chinki stop in Bela area of the district and eventually fell into a ravine and caught fire. (Pakistan-Bus Crash)

ISLAMABAD -- Ten children were killed when a boat capsized in a dam in Kohat district of Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Sunday, an official said.

The boat with 25 children onboard capsized in Tanda Dam of the district earlier in the morning, and the divers rescued 16 out of them and shifted them to hospital, Deputy Commissioner of Kohat district Furqan Ashraf said. (Pakistan-Boat Accident)
