ANKARA, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on Monday raised its 2022 growth forecast for Türkiye to 5.4 percent year-on-year, up from its June forecast of 3.7 percent.

In its interim economic outlook report, the organization kept its growth forecast for Türkiye at 3 percent in 2023.

The OECD revised Türkiye's inflation forecast downward to 71 percent by the end of 2022.

Türkiye's annual inflation hit 80.21 percent in August, the highest in 24 years, according to the official data.

The organization kept its global growth forecast for 2022 at 3 percent, but revised down its projection for 2023 from a June forecast of 2.8 percent to 2.2 percent.

The OECD also revised down its 2023 forecasts for many G20 countries, with Indonesia being the only one whose forecast has been revised upwards.
