MANILA -- The major Philippine economic indicators showed continued momentum of growth in June, with the total external trade in goods rising by 16.1 percent and the manufacturing production index growing steadily, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Tuesday.

The total external trade in goods reached up to 19.13 billion U.S. dollars in June, of which 65.3 percent were imported goods, while the rest were exported goods, the statistics agency said. (Philippines-Economy Index-Growth)

NEW DELHI -- Last week Indian government announced it had put 72,098 MHz (72 GHz) spectrum of 5G airwaves to auction -- a move has kicked off the race for the rollout of 5G in India.

According to the federal ministry of communications, 51,236 MHz (51 GHz) spectrum, which constitutes 71 percent of the total, has been sold and the bid reached 18.8 billion U.S. dollars. (India-5G Rollout,ROUNDUP)

JAKARTA -- Indonesia is preparing for alternatives to replace wheat whose supply chain has been disrupted by conflicts in Ukraine, the Agriculture Ministry said on Tuesday.

Ismail Wahab, cereal director at the directorate general of food crops of the ministry, said the main alternative is sorghum, which has the same nutrition and is still in the same family as wheat, and can be cultivated on land in Indonesia. (Indonesia-Food Security)
