JAKARTA, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia kicked off the COVID-19 vaccine booster campaign on Wednesday. Adults aged over 18 years old who have received their second dose six months ago are eligible for a booster shot. Vulnerable groups including seniors and immunocompromised people are prioritized for the campaign.

Five vaccines, including two from China, have been authorized as a third dose vaccine jab.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo said earlier this week that 80 percent of Indonesia's vaccines came from China.

He also announced that all booster shots will be free and called on people to follow health protocols.
