JAKARTA -- Indonesia's food and drug authority BPOM has issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) for the COVID-19 vaccine produced by Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinopharm, an official source said on Friday.
Chief of BPOM Penny Lukito made the announcement, saying the issuance of the EUA was based on the third phase of clinical trials in the United Arab Emirates and other countries. (Indonesia-Chinese vaccine)

ISLAMABAD -- The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) of Pakistan on Thursday recommended the country's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to ban inbound flights from May 5 to May 20 for curbing the fast-spreading third wave of COVID-19, an NCOC statement said.
The NCOC approved holidays for the forthcoming Eid festival from May 8-16, and banned all tourism activities during the holidays, besides urging people to stay home during the festival. (Pakistan-Flight Ban)

SEOUL -- South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Friday received his second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at a public health center in Seoul, according to the presidential Blue House.
The first jab was administered to Moon on March 23.
