JAKARTA, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- The Tunnel 7 of the Chinese-built Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway was successfully drilled through ealier this week.

The railway, which has been constructed since 2016, is the first 350 km/h standard high-speed railway in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

When the 142.3-km high-speed railway project is completed, the travel time between Jakarta and Bandung will be reduced from more than three hours to 40 minutes.
